A concert featuring the music of ICE composer/percussionist, Nathan Davis. I will perform his piece for toy piano and clock chimes, Mechanics of Escapement.

As part of the Experimental Piano Series, Phyllis will be joined by fellow pianist, Alex Peh for some works for duo toy piano by David Smooke and Takuji Kawai as well as solo toy piano works. The show will also be featuring Steve Cohn (piano & shakuhachi), Saalik Ziyad (vocals)
December 18 &19, 2009: Mirrors–Contemporary Cello Multimedia Performance (Chicago, IL)
Phyllis will be part of a two-day multimedia solo cello show featuring Sophie Webber at the Church of the Epiphany (201 S. Ashland Ave, Chicago). Other collaborators include Zvonimir Nagy (piano/composition), Ben Delony (dance), Baltazar Pena Rios (film/lighting)

Phyllis will be working with members of the New York Youth Symphony as a guest lecturer at the 10th annual Making Score series. Making Score is the first series of workshops in the country for young musicians to explore the world of composition and orchestration for curious pre-college level students. It is directed by composer/four-time ASCAP Plus award winner, Anna Clyne.
